SURVEILLANCE, MONITORING AND EVALLUATIONS OFFICER

 

POST:                    ILLUSTRATOR TANZANIA INSTITUTE OF EDUCATIONS

STATIONS:          DAR ES SALAAM

POSITIONS:        FULL TIME

THE PURPOSE OF POST

National malaria program me of the Ministry of Health Community Development Children and the elderly, implements 2 keys technical strategies

1.       Malaria diagnosis and treatment

2.       Malaria preventions through integrated malaria vector control and intermittent prevention of malaria in pregnancy

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

a.       Assist NMCP in the organizations, implementations data management, report writing and dissemination of routine periodic surveillance, monitoring and evaluations initiatives

b.      Assist MNCP to collate essential data and elaborate periodic survey with routine information’s system

c.       Assist NMCP in implementations of the comprehensives malaria surveillance frame work as directly the national guidelines

d.      Assist NMCP in translating malaria surveillance monitoring and evaluations findings into scientific papers to be submitted to peer review journals

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

-          Basic public health related degree at masters level

-          At least 3 years experience in public health projects related to malaria

-          Language proficiency in English and Kiswahili

-          Advanced knowledge in  word processing and spreadsheet

-          Basic statistic software package skills

-          Good writing skills

-          Good presentations skills

-          Able to work independently

-          Demonstrate creativity and innovative
