Overview
ACDI/VOCA is currently seeking a Accounting and Record Keeping specialist for an upcoming volunteer assignment in Tanzania. Local farmer producer organizations are requesting volunteer assistance to improve their financial management. The volunteer will provide training on a number of topics, including  stock management and simple bookkeeping among others. The volunteer will also help develop an accounting and bookkeeping manual. The assignment will last for approximately four weeks in country, in addition to preparation and research prior to departure. Travel and living expenses are covered.

•    A University degree in Finance, Accounting, or other relevant area
•    At least ten years relevant work experience
•    Good communication skills (oral and written)
•    Proficient computer skills including MS Word and MS Excel

Unyiha Associates Ltd. is requesting volunteer assistance to begin using QuickBooks for their financial management and accounting. The volunteer will provide training on  create income and expense statements, cash flow statements, and balance sheets, among other topics, and will also help develop a financial management manual. The assignment will last for approximately three weeks in country, in addition to preparation and research prior to departure. Travel and living expenses are covered.

1.  RECORD MANAGEMENT TUTOR

REPORT TO: HEAD OF BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT
PURPOSE OF JOB:

Assist students in academic achievement by meeting them on a regular basis to clarify learning problems and work on study skills. Tutoring is a supplement to teaching. Tutoring positions are available on all campuses.

JOB DESCRIPTION
• Ensure that the lecture time table is adhered to by attending all lectures
• Guides and Supervises students in building up their practical and research projects
• Prepares learning resources and designs training exercises for students
• prepares exams, invigilation and marking
• Develops and Review the existing curriculum
• Attends all meetings as announced.
• Plans and facilitates tutoring sessions utilizing collaborative learning methodologies.
• Assists students in the development of appropriate study skills.
• Maintain consistent communication with the College’s registrar
• Models appropriate academic attitudes and behaviors to other staff and students.
• Setting assignment, tests and final exams
• An evaluation of the program at the end semester, this should involve the submission of report to academic office
• Tutors will collaborate with the college registrar and staff members to assess the student’s needs and how best to address them. Many of the students that tours work with are performing below their expected academic grade level.
• Tutor must complete the syllabus of the module two weeks before final exams
• Ensure there is update and weekly report.
• Tutors will have to arrange for study tours for students whenever needs happens
• Tutor must ensure course work covering contents and conduct the revision before exams
• Performs any other duties as assigned by top management
• Failure to perform your duties and responsibilities will lead to the contract termination
• Any other duties assigned by your supervisors

 A Bachelor Degree in Record Management
 Not exceeding 45 year of age
 Should be a Tanzanian
 Should have experience in teaching.
 Ability to speak and write both languages English and Swahili fluently
 An individual should have original certificate and not provision/testimonial certificate
 An excellent written and oral command of English.
