MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Coordinate, administer and enforce in liaison with EAC management security issues within the Community by ensuring that the EAC visitors, delegates, assets and property are secure.

ii. Put in place preventive measures and deal expeditiously with security breaches that may occur by liaising with host country police and security systems.

vi. Provide escort and security protection to Executives, VIPs and dignitaries.

To conduct independent risk-based internal audits of the EAC Organs and

- To assist in planning for normal, snap and follow-up reviews and carry out the fieldwork once plan is approved by the Principal Internal Auditor.
- Carry out audit procedures for any segment of an audit under supervision from the auditor-in-charge.
- Interpret results of audit work performed, determine internal control weaknesses, and propose recommendations for consideration by the auditor-in-charge.
- Properly document work performed and drawing conclusions based on the objective of carrying out the work.
Maintain current and permanent audit files.
- Continue professional development through on-the-job training, self-study, and internal and external audit courses as they become available.
- To analyze and document audit findings in accordance with International standards for Professional Practices of Internal Auditing issued by the institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).

The purpose of this assignment is to coordinate the USAID energy component while working closely with the consulting firm and Partner States. This will be done in close collaboration with the Energy Department located in the Directorate of Productive Sectors in the EAC Secretariat and EAC Partner States.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Energy Expert will:

i) Be responsible for the coordination of the energy project;

ii) Communicating and implementing decisions of the project Steering Committee;

iii) Provide strategic guidance to the project Steering Committee;

iv) Supervising the overall activities of the project being undertaken by the consulting firm;

v) Being overall responsible for the monitoring and reporting the progress and financial position of the project;

To ensure optimum maintenance and updates of database systems at the EAC Secretariat.

Tasks and responsibilities:
Maintain, upgrade and support all database and application systems based at the EAC Headquarters.
Recommend technical specifications for various databases and their hosting environments.
Assist users to identify database/information requirements and offer solution to implement any enhancements to meet individual user requirements.
Manage and monitor the efficiency of database resources and recommend their replacements/upgrades.
Day-to-day administration of existing database including MY-SQL, MS-SQL, Oracle, Postgress, etc as directed and enabled by the ICT management.
Offer first line diagnostics, troubleshooting and maintenance services to databases and associated business applications.
Implement appropriate ICT safety and security procedures related to EAC databases.

Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelors degree from recognized institution in Computer Science or a related field.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in database administration, maintenance and user support in reputable institutions.
Professional qualification in MS-SQL, Oracle, or similar databases and in-depth knowledge and experience on Active Directory and MS-Exchange is an additional advantage.
Skills and Competencies:

1. Post of Manager, Family Health and Infectious Diseases

The East, Central and Southern African Health Community (ECSA-HC) invites
applications for the Post of Manager, Family Health and Infectious Diseases
from suitably qualified persons who are nationals of Member States. The
Member states are Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, Swaziland, Tanzania,

The Organization
The East, Central and Southern African Health Community (ECSA-HC) is a
regional organisation set up in 1974 to promote the highest possible standards
of health among member states. It is mandated to foster cooperation that will
lead to the strengthening of health care programmes among member states in
the region. The Secretariat implements its activities through four specific
programme clusters, namely:
i. Family Health and Infectious Diseases;
ii. Non-Communicable Diseases, Food Security and Nutrition;
iii. Health Systems and Capacity Building; and
iv. Knowledge Management, Monitoring and Evaluation.

Broad Purpose of the Post
The Manager, Family Health and Infectious Diseases will be responsible for
providing policy and strategic direction to coordinate regional networks to
implement evidence based programmes in order to facilitate member countries
to achieve the highest level of Family Health and Infectious Diseases for the
population of ECSA-HC.

Specific Responsibilities
i. Provide leadership in establishing ECSA HC policy and strategy on
Family Health and Infectious Disease interventions within the ECSA
member states.
ii. Coordinate the implementation of family health and infectious disease
programmes in the ECSA region.
iii. Support the managers of programmes within ECSA in evolving
programmes that integrate family health and infectious diseases into
other sectors/programmes for the improvement of health delivery in
ECSA member states.

iv. Use established networks at the regional and international level to collect
and exchange information on family health and infectious diseases for
use in programming.
v. Monitor and report the progress and outcomes of the organisation’s
interventions related to family health and infectious diseases that are
integrated in other health programmes.
vi. Advise management on the issues related to family health and infectious
diseases that needs to be addressed at the regional level.
vii. Liaise with regional and international organisations/partners to facilitate
the implementation of innovative interventions and models of good
practices that are adaptable to the ECSA member states.
viii. Maintain and regularly review a system for profiling, repackaging and
dissemination of models of good practices that are cost effective for
promotion of family health and control of infectious diseases in the ECSA
HC member states.

ix. Mobilize resources from different partners through writing
programme/project proposals to support implementation of regional
interventions for family health programmes and control of infectious
diseases and ensure accountability of resources to meet the collaborators
funding requirements.
x. Implement multi-centre operational research activities to support
development of evidence-based policies and programmes that focus on
family health and infectious diseases.
xi. Participate in scientific conferences on family health and infectious
diseases as part of advocacy and to keep abreast with contemporary
issues in family health and infectious diseases.
xii. Coordinate as required specific programmes and projects on Family
Health and Infectious Diseases.
xiii. Perform any other related functions and duties as may be assigned by
the supervisor.

Minimum Entry Qualifications
Education
i. Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine
ii. Masters/Postgraduate qualifications in Obstetrics and Gynaecology,
Public health, Epidemiology, Community health or SRH field or a social
degree with postgraduate qualifications in Public health or Epidemiology
iii. Any other post graduate social science or clinical qualifications relevant
to SRH, MCH, HIV/AIDS, TB and other Infectious Diseases.

Work Experience
i. S/he should have at least 5 years’ experience in a senior
management position in a health related organisation including

iii. The working experience should include work in international,

FINANCE MANAGER

The position is funded on a
three year renewable contract and will be based in Arusha, Tanzania.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Planning and Budgeting
i. Lead in the ECSA HC/GF planning and budgeting process and oversee
the development of accurate plans and budgets for all the activities.
ii. Oversee fund transfers to the areas and ensure that accurate documents
are kept of the process and that the internal processes are respected.

Financial Management

i. Ensure that all internal and external financial and administrative
reporting requirements are met in accordance with GF standards
ii. Prepare timely and accurate financial requisitions to ECSA-HC to
support the agreed the designated project activities as required.
iii. Provide timely and accurate financial reports for monies received by the Project
iv. Reconcile all GF related advances disbursed from different accounts in

Procurement
i. Develop, adapt and manage the ECSA GF procurement policies and

Administration
i. In collaboration with ECSA-HC Arusha Office facilitating the processing
of the relevant benefits package for the GF project staff.
ii. Support the project staff to fulfil their income tax obligations in line with
the ECSA and GF regulations.
iii. Providing requisite logistical support to GF activities at ECSA HC.

REPORTS TO: THE PROJECT OFFICER

JOB OBJECTIVE:-

The Project Assistant will support the project team to undertake all day-to-day implementation of

activities as elaborated in weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual plans under close supervision of the

Project Manager. He/she will provide required quality coordination skills and support to project team,

partners and stakeholders in implementation of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

▪ Provide organizational support to projects activities undertaken by the project team as necessary

including arrangement of all necessary logistics for projects activities such as workshops,

trainings and supervision.

▪ Draft project activity budgets and prepare all logistics for the activity, coordinate travel needs,

schedules and meetings. Maintain important project deadline to ensure project milestones are

attained timely

▪ Assist project team in planning, implementation, supervision and evaluation of project activities.

Compile monthly project plans, maintain an updated plan and update implementation status

monthly.

▪ Keep records of all information related to project for documentation and maintain project file

system.

▪ Maintain effective communication system and ensure information flow between project and

relevant parties. Maintain contact list of all project stakeholders

▪ Perform any other duties as reasonable requested by supervisors and in line with organizational

priorities

PROFFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Diploma or basic degree in Nutrition, Nursing, or other health related fields.

▪ Postgraduate degree in the above field will be an added advantage.

▪ Two years’ experience in public health interventions. Professional work experience in the area of

RMNCH

▪ Having worked in the district health system will be highly desirable

Job Purpose:

 1. To undertake activities as provided for the functions of the Liaison

 2. Coordinate the activities of the Technical Sub Committee on
    Metrology(EAMET) of East African Standards Committee;
 3. Provide logistical support to the EASC in the design and management
    of Community projects for the implementation of metrology
    development programs
 4. Liaise with Partner States  to ensure traceability of measurements
    in Partner States and the community (measurement inter-comparisons,
    publicizing calibration capabilities in the community);
 5. Coordinate the activities of EAMET among members and with
    Intra-Africa Metrology System (AFRIMET)  and other regional
    metrology organisations, BIPM, OIML and  other regional and
    International legal and scientific metrology bodies (Key
    international comparisons, CMC registration, membership of BIPM,
    OIML, CIPM MRA, accreditation etc);
 6. Liaise with other Directorates and functions of EAC to implement EAC
    legislation related to accuracy of measurements (axle load, safe
    drugs, industrial development etc);
 7. Coordinate the development, review and maintenance of East African
    legislations on Metrology.(follow up on metrology on metrology bill,
    metrology regulations, metrology related standards)
 8. Identify training needs and areas for capacity building in metrology
    and conformity assessment and develop plan for their implementation
    (training, competence building, infrastructure development in terms
    of equipment and labs)
 9. Prepare annual budgets  and work plans for EAMET functions plus the
    Department of Internal Trade and the Trade Directorate;

    Qualifications and Experience:

A Masters Degree in Physics, Engineering, or related fields. Additional

measurements, knowledge of the workings of AFRIMET, OIML BIPM, with
minimum of  3   years at senior level working with a quality Institution
or equivalent.
Experience working with National and International conformity assessment

 6. Initiate and identify areas for review in the Customs laws of the
    Community and work closely with CTCs office in the review of the
    respective laws;
 7. Assist in advising and providing legal, technical and administrative
    interpretations of the customs law of EAC to Partner States;
 8. Maintain a database on enforcement in the EAC;
 9. Initiate requirements and coordinate the training of customs
    officers  on compliance and enforcement;
10. Assist in the publication of the EAC gazette;
11. Plan and implement enforcement and investigations operations for
    suppression of customs offences, ability to analyze information and
    data.

    Qualifications and Experience:

Master’ degree in Law. Enrolled to Practice Law in any of the Partner States
Must have 8 years relevant experience with three years being at a senior
level preferably in customs related environment.

Regional Integration. Should have demonstrable knowledge of customs and
trade laws applicable in EAC. Practical skills in enforcement,

Job Purpose:
To manage day to day security operations using guards and access
equipment within the Bank's operating premises, in order to ensure
maximum protection of CBA's human and material assets. The job includes
maintenance of the access monitoring systems and custody of surveillance
data.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

University degree or equivalent.
Must have served in the Police Force in the rank of at least an
Inspector of Police for not less than 4 years and have attended relevant
CID Courses and/ or has proven experience on fraud investigations,
especially on bank frauds & Security Administration.
Working experience in a similar position in a Bank or Financial Institution.
Computer literacy- practical experience in use of MS Office applications.

REPORTING TO: Card Services Manager

Job Purpose:
To provide prompt, efficient and effective card operations and services
so as to contribute to customer satisfaction and retention. Support ATMs
operations for optimal up time and manage CRM logs and e-mails
professionally. Review card and ATM suspense and P&L accounts. The job
holder is also responsible for in-house card personalization and/or PIN
Mailer production, Card/PIN Mailer distribution and mailing of monthly
credit card statements.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

University Degree in Business related studies or equivalent.
Practical experience in use of relevant MIS,BI and MS Office applications.
Knowledge of relevant Card Products and service.
Technical skills to effectively perform Card Centre activities/tasks in
a manner that consistently produces high quality of service.

Citi’s Middle East and Africa regional business is looking for full-time Analysts to join the team in various locations across the region.

The Analyst Programme begins in August with a 4-week training Programme in Johannesburg. Formal training begins with an orientation and induction sessions providing an overview of Citi, followed by classroom training sessions. Analysts have the opportunity to meet representatives from the teams that make up the Banking, TTS, Operations and Risk divisions.

The classroom training program is followed by 4 x 3-month rotations across various functions of Citi, including Treasury and Trade Solutions, Corporate Bank and Operations. In some countries analysts have a rotation in Risk, in others this will be replaced with another business area.
We provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to succeed.
During your training program in Johannesburg you will receive an in-depth education on a variety of topics to learn the fundamentals of the Analyst role and introduce you to Citi’s culture. So whatever your degree is in we will give you the training you need to excel. By the end of the program, analysts will have the opportunity to take advantage of internal mobility opportunities.

The jobs that you will do and the responsibilities that you will be given will be as varied as your rotations. Below are some examples of the tasks the analyst may be performing during their rotations. These are only examples – you will also often find yourself working on unique projects and process improvements.

Corporate Bank
Source and create pitch and marketing material, liaising with product partners and the Bankers.
Maintain regular and frequent dialogue with product partners to assist with relationship maintenance
Assist in managing the Corporate Banking relationship infrastructure, including approvals and documentation.
Produce and update client plans in conjunction with product partners and bankers.
Collaborate within the team to manage the portfolio and individual client risk.
Interact with Citi’s network around the region

TTS
Develop an understanding of the cash, trade and sales products and processes
Track market developments across the region and share geopolitical, economic and banking industry trends that may affect the business with a consultative approach
Prepare and analyse financials while ensuring actuals and run-rated projections meet the business plans
Liaise with partners across TTS to capture key client and product pipelines/wins are to be showcased in business reviews

Risk
Develop an understanding of and be able to apply at an analyst level: Risk reporting, spreading, risk ratings, Corporate/FI/public sector Credit Analysis writing, stress testing.
Understanding projections, scenarios, assumptions and variance analysis.
Reading and interpreting cash flow statements, balance sheet, income statements etc
Taking part in client calls / site visits.
Understanding regulatory requirements and impact on the organization

Operations
Develop a good understanding and appreciation of the operations processes. Understand the functions carried out within the subunits of operations.
Analyse volumes, address & resolve issues, identify wasteful activities and suggest improvements that can save cost/time/improve processes
Understand workflow, key controls and key risks linked to various products. Accurately evaluate risks as they relate to key business objectives. Assess the effectiveness of key controls.
Develop an understanding of the impact of regulatory and financial impacts on the organisation

You have a 2:1, a GPA above 3.0 out of 4.0 or equivalent in any degree discipline
