Job Purpose
Responsible for driving for growing agent’s base, transacting customers and revenue by providing leadership on agent recruitment, acquiring business and management of agency business operations in the zone.

Main Responsibilities
• Ensure smooth planning, executing and monitoring sales strategy; distribution and expansion; marketing initiatives and budgets of NMB’s entire agent network at the zone.
• Liaising with branch managers on identification of the new prospective agents in the zone while ensure compliance of KYC as per regulation and business requirements.
• Acquire new business opportunities, initiate business cases and product concepts for value added services on agency banking, and seek necessary approvals from within the bank.
• Agent relationship management & business development of direct and indirect channel model of NMB wakala in the zone.
• Managing training of agents, staff and field team on products and troubleshooting of agency banking tools as well as agents disputes.
• Management of agency banking representatives and assign goals to branches and field team by product, and generate necessary reports for performance reviews to ensure quality support services to NMB wakalas.
• Monitoring the market very closely for dynamics on customer behaviour, competition, policies, compliance and regulations.
• Supporting other business units for cash transaction solutions using customized agency banking models.
• Coordinate branding activities between Head office, marketing and zone related to NMB wakala branding, marketing and market intelligence as part of business development.
• Periodic visit the regions in the zones ensure correct implementations of agency banking strategies, policies and compliance also to monitor performance and evaluation of branches and field team KPIs.
• Supervising zone’s agency banking representatives on their day to day activities and targets.

Job Purpose
Assist Senior Manager, Custody services in achieving the department’s goals by ensuring that a cost effective, high quality service is provided to our customers by effectively controlling tasks within the custody services section.

Main Responsibilities
• Responsible for actual accurate settlements of cash, securities (Equities, Fixed Income and Money Market instruments) while ensuring that all settlements are settled in convention with the market rules, directives and procedures.
• Deal with clients telephonically, via SWIFT and e-mail and ensure all transactions are settled according to clients’ SLA and relevant systems updated accordingly.
• Ensure all settlements procedures are complied with in accordance with procedure manual.

iii. Fluent in both Kiswahili and English and

i. To check the correctness of the vertical and horizonatl profiles as designed by the TARURA Council Managers or Design Consultant and proposes modifications where necessary

Head; Agency Banking

Job Purpose
To provide leadership and direction within NMB branch network organization to enable the bank achieve its ambition in Agency Banking and provide safe and efficient services to clients and increase income, while minimizing risk.
Formulate and execute Agency Banking business strategy in alignment with the NMB vision and strategic plan.

Main Responsibilities:
-Design, develop, roll out and manage the Agency Banking business through acquisition of agents in compliance with the set agent selection criteria and ensuring customer usage of agent outlets.
-Conduct continuous product reviews, craft and develop new products as well as enhance existing ones depending on the market and customer needs changes as informed by market intelligence.
-Engage various institutions for partnerships in the Agency Banking business and ensure the interest of the bank is protected.
- Manage the relationships of the partners to ensure that they deliver on NMBs expectations.
- Execute operational excellence, cost management and compliance to internal policies and bank approved guidelines.
-Provide leadership and mentoring to the Agency banking team throughout the branch network as well as Head Office team
-Design and implement service experience and carry out branding of agencies as well as training of agents, field officers and agent relationship managers to ensure delivery of exceptional service to customers.
- Continuously monitor and review process flows and ensure availability and reliability of the agency systems for seamless agent transactions; monitor the channel for any abuse and immediately act upon all instances.
- Drive Agency Banking business growth; keep track of the overall performance of the department as well as that of Agency Banking officers and Zonal Managers performance to ensure that the annual targets are achieved.
- Monitor the performance of branch and zonal agents and provide feedback to Zonal Managers; support the branches as far as Agency Banking is concerned.
-Establish and implement strategies for transaction migration through the Agents’ network, ensuring there are synergies in place with the branches and zones.
-Manage annual agent licenses renewal as well as initiate and establish a robust remuneration tariff for agents.
-Champion customer service and implementation of quality service delivery standards to all agent networks.
-Review the channels’ performance targets to assess improvement and further expansion of the agency banking channels distribution based on financial and strategic analysis and report to Chief Retail Banking (CRB).
-Conduct root-cause analysis, translate into action-plans and drive implementation for all issues that arise in audit reports, complaint reports, compliance reports, etc. related to agency banking operations, controls and compliance.
-Provide sales and service leadership to drive the performance of the branches (process and structure) in joint responsibility with Zonal Managers for staffing and productivity management.
-Provide guidance and ensure that the business interests are presented to the regulator using the correct stakeholders; ensuring that the Bank of Tanzania (BOT) guidelines on Agency Banking are adhered to.
-Coordinate the production of the annual budget for the entire Agency Banking network.
-Compile, monitor and report annual agent objectives monthly on the achievements.
-Ensuring satisfactory Audit findings for the Agency Banking network.
-Monitor and approve the commission payments to partners and the entire Agent network; prepare final sign off for Chief Retail Banking (CRB).
-Manage the partners through the SLA’s that are in place ensuring that any under delivery is penalized in line the agreements.
-Assist in the preparation and implementation of periodic reviews of the Bank’s business plan.
- Create low cost best practice standardized solutions across the Agency Banking network.
-Oversee and review refinement of returns; submit quarterly profitability reports based on returns.
- Participate in the review, design and implementation of departmental work plans and report quarterly on compliance with the work plans.
-Participate and facilitate projects for new products & services and initiate operational system and process improvement.
